I am a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician based in Portland, Oregon, and an educator serving as adjunct faculty at the University of Western States (UWS). In addition to my chiropractic practice, I am a certified Meditation Instructor. My approach to care is holistic and personalized, drawing on a wide range of techniques that I’ve mastered over more than 30 years in the field.
My philosophy centers on the belief that every patient has unique needs, which is why I emphasize open-mindedness and active listening in my practice. By staying attuned to my patients, I ensure that each treatment is tailored to their specific conditions, enhancing both their physical and emotional well-being. My work with patients is deeply fulfilling, bringing meaning, love, and inspiration into my life daily.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of treating a diverse array of individuals, including professional athletes, Ironman competitors, and world-class runners. I have collaborated with physical therapists, trainers, and fellow chiropractors to keep these athletes in optimal condition. My commitment to athletic care also led me to establish Sportsprodigy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training coaches and trainers to prevent injuries in young athletes by leveraging local healthcare professionals.
I earned my Doctorate in Chiropractic from the University of Western States after completing my undergraduate studies at SUNY Buffalo. My career in education has been ongoing since 1991, and I continue to serve as a clinical preceptor, guiding chiropractic students in the final stages of their education. My expertise also extends to women’s health, where I have spent nearly a decade learning from and working alongside medical doctors, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses.
Sustainability and social justice are core values in my life and practice. My clinic was the first healthcare business in Portland to achieve GOLD level sustainability recognition from the city. I am also committed to ongoing education in areas such as racism, size-bias, and LGBTQIA+ healthcare, completing nearly 100 hours of continuing education to better serve my QBIPOC community.
When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me enjoying activities like pickleball, gardening, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family. Though I once competed in Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, softball, and triathlons, I now stay active through walking my dogs, lifting weights, and attending fitness classes.
