Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic physicians view each patient as a whole being and provide effective patient care by incorporating lifestyle counseling, nutritional advice, exercise and rehabilitation, modern physical therapy techniques and hands-on manipulation and mobilization procedures. Doctors of chiropractic are widely recognized as experts in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.

Spinal Manipulation

Manually applying a controlled force to joints that have become restricted in their movement as a result of a tissue injury, in order to restore joint mobility.

Active Release Technique

A movement-based soft tissue therapy that relaxes abnormal tissue through a combination of directed tension on specific points of tissue with precise muscular movement.

PHOTOBIOMODULATION (THERAPEUTIC LASER)

lightforce

enhanced-relief-of-painPhotobiomodulation is a drug-free, surgery-free technique that uses a Class IV, high-intensity laser to treat acute and chronic conditions. This light therapy stimulates the production of ATP in the mitochondria of your cells to rapidly enhance tissue healing time, improve pain-free movement, and decrease inflammation. Results can be felt immediately after treatment (ranging from 2 to 10 minutes), but can take 3-5 treatments over a couple of weeks. Therapeutic effects can be felt up to a day after getting a laser treatment. This is NOT a cold laser or LLLT; this is a high power laser which is felt as a light warmth throughout treatment.

Kinesio Taping

A rehabilitative taping technique that reduces pain, supports body structures, and actively promotes circulation and muscular re-education to create a more efficient use of specific muscle groups to bring the body into an optimal state of homeodynamism.

Graston Technique

a soft tissue therapy which employs a metal tool contoured to focus on specific muscle groups to reduce scar tissue and speed recovery time of soft tissue injuries.

Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation, Provocation, and Motion (FAKTR)

faktr

A concept that includes function and treatment of the kinetic chain while utilizing various forms of rehabilitation at the same time. It also incorporates treatment in the position of provocation (pain, loss of range of motion, feeling of tightness within the fascia/soft tissues) and during motion (from FAKTR website). Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

A non-invasive, safe stimulation of muscle contraction using electrical impulses. The impulses mimic the action potential coming from the central nervous system, causing the muscles to contract. The electrodes are generally pads that adhere to the skin, and EMS machines are regulated by the FDA. This therapy is successfully used in rehabilitative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, but it can also be used to retrain muscles to enhance muscular endurance and force production.

Rehabilitative Exercises and Stretches

By teaching you how to strengthen some muscle groups and how to relax others, the practitioner can help to retrain your body to reach a more efficient and pain-free state during activity and rest. This will ultimately create the most lasting effect, and you will be able to take greater control of your health management.

Nutritional Supplementation

Acute and chronic pain can be alleviated by using supplements which support your body and mind by preventing inflammatory processes, reducing stress, and supporting joint, muscle, bone, and digestive health. We only sell products of companies with the highest standards of purity and ethics, coupled with the most advanced research, and we buy locally whenever possible. We also sell a range of foam rollers, pillows, and topical pain-relief gels.
