We utilize a number of advanced techniques to achieve the best treatment effect.

Chiropractic:

Active Release Technique-

a movement-based soft tissue therapy that relaxes abnormal tissue through a combination of directed tension on specific points of tissue with precise muscular movement.

Kinesio Taping-

a rehabilitative taping technique that reduces pain, supports body structures, and actively promotes circulation and muscular re-education to create a more efficient use of specific muscle groups to bring the body into an optimal state of homeodynamism.

Graston Technique-

a soft tissue therapy which employs a metal tool contoured to focus on specific muscle groups to reduce scar tissue and speed recovery time of soft tissue injuries.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

a non-invasive, safe stimulation of muscle contraction using electrical impulses. The impulses mimic the action potential coming from the central nervous system, causing the muscles to contract. The electrodes are generally pads that adhere to the skin, and EMS machines are regulated by the FDA. This therapy is successfully used in rehabilitative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, but it can also be used to retrain muscles to enhance muscular endurance and force production.

Spinal Manipulation-

manually applying a controlled force to joints that have become restricted in their movement as a result of a tissue injury, in order to restore joint mobility.

Rehabilitative Exercises and Stretches-

by teaching you how to strengthen some muscle groups and how to relax others, the practitioner can help to retrain your body to reach a more efficient and pain-free state during activity and rest. This will ultimately create the most lasting effect, and you will be able to take greater control of your health management.

Nutritional Supplementation-

acute and chronic pain can be alleviated by using supplements which support your body and mind by preventing inflammatory processes, reducing stress, and supporting joint, muscle, bone, and digestive health. We only sell products of companies with the highest standards of purity and ethics, coupled with the most advanced research, and we buy locally whenever possible. We also sell a range of foam rollers, pillows, and topical pain-relief gels.

Massage Therapy:

Deep Tissue Massage-

a type of massage that releases chronic muscle tension with strong pressure and slow, deep strokes across the muscle fibers, helping to break up adhesions between muscle fibers and hence increasing efficiency of the muscle and enhancing tissue repair.

Sports Massage-

similar to deep tissue massage, but with a targeted focus on specific muscle groups.

Craniosacral Therapy-

gentle passive-pressure work with the spine and the skull to ease the restrictions of nerve passages, optimize the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord, and gently help restore proper alignment of bones (especially of the skull and sacrum).

Myofascial Release/ Fascial Manipulation-

Direct myofascial release creates changes in the myofascial structures by stretching, elongation of fascia, or mobilizing adhesive tissues. The practitioner moves slowly through the layers of the fascia until the deep tissues are reached. The indirect method involves a gentle stretch, with only a few grams of pressure, which allows the fascia to ‘unwind’ itself. The dysfunctional tissues are guided along the path of least resistance until free movement is achieved.

Trigger Point Therapy-

Identifying trigger points, resolving them with pressure and, if all trigger points have been deactivated, elongating the structures affected along their natural range of motion and length.

Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehabilitation, Provocation, and Motion (FAKTR)-

a concept that includes function and treatment of the kinetic chain while utilizing various forms of rehabilitation at the same time. It also incorporates treatment in the position of provocation (pain, loss of range of motion, feeling of tightness within the fascia/soft tissues) and during motion (from faktr.com).
